Ever wonder who makes your favorite celebrities look so darn good? Well, in many cases, the answer is likely to be June Ambrose. June has designed looks for many of the biggest names on the planet: Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Will Smith, Zoe Saldana, Missy Elliott, Kelly Ripa, Kim Cattrall, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Estelle, Garcelle Beauvais, Ciara, and Jay Z (who also recently produced June's newest fashion show on his Life+Times website). She is also the subject of the latest installment of Cadillac's ongoing series, The Visionaries.

Though June was interested in fashion from a very early age, it may surprise you where she began her professional life: at an investment bank. No joke. June says the money was good, but she was miserable, so in 1990, she quit that job for an internship at Uptown MCA Records. Little did she know that this decision would eventually lead to her being the major style presence that she is today.

June says her ultimate goal when designing looks for her celebrity clients is that they be as "authentic and organic as possible." And how does she maintain a fresh perspective when working with so many high profile people? "I'm still nervous," she says. "Every job I get, I obsess over it." She then reiterates a phrase that is heard time and again in any creative field: "You're as good as your last job."
