Ganryu? Sounds like a character from Dragon Ball Z, but in actuality is another label produced under the Comme des Garcons umbrella. Fumito Ganryu, the designer, was a patternmaker under Junya Watanabe, which means you are required to like this brand by default. Personally, I like this brand because it’s absolutely crazy. A hooded chambray shirt with nylon paneling and a contrast placket? I don’t even know where you would put this in your store. Shirts? Jackets? Sweatshirts and sweaters? And that’s why if I had a store I’d categorize everything by brand.
