Following her widely popular performance-based "The Artist Is Present" exhibition in 2010 and subsequent behind-the-scenes documentary film, Marina Abramovic and MoMA are asking for first-hand accounts from those who sat across from the artist.

On MoMA Talks, the official Tumblr blog for the museum, a post was published this week with photos from the performance and a message from the artist asking anyone who sat (or waited to sit) with Abramovic to "email contact@mai-hudson.org with subject line ‘PRESENT’ for more information." The post made no attempts to explain itself, but did encourage readers to "join in the collective effort" and to stay abreast of Abramovic's current project, The Marina Abramovic Institute, so it is a fair assumption that the stories will feature prominently there in the near future.
