Planning for the development of the Faena District Miami Beach has begun, and the Faena Groupreveals progress of the area's first phase, Faena House, since its groundbreaking in January 2013. Designed by Foster + Partners, the 18-story luxury condominium tower, located on the widest section of Miami Beach, has 47 oceanfront residences. The project is planned for completion by fall of next year. Other anticipated attractions of the Faena District include a five-star hotel, an advanced arts center, retail complexes, and a marina. Alan Faena has conceived the development of the district in Miami Beach following his experience planning the staggering improvement to the Puerto Madero neighborhood in Buenos Aires, which transitioned from a nearly abandoned location to the most expensive area of the city.
The Faena House includes one- to five-bedroom residences and three penthouse units, all with remarkable views of the ocean. To promote a blend of indoor and outdoor living, each condo has its own terrace with panoramic scenery. As if you weren't jealous enough, though exclusively residential, the Faena House will offer hotel-grade services and amenities.
