Complex Kits: Documenting the style of the stars and personalitites who come through our office.

If Miley Cyrus is serious about her twerking, then she definitely has the entire Ying Yang Twins discography blasting through her speakers. In this edition of Complex Kits, the Ying Yang Twins came through our office and explained how they've been able to maintain their sense of style for so long. Hint: balling out is a marathon, not a sprint.

Could you just talk a little bit about what each of you are wearing right now? Just why you chose it, if this is how you always dress, or if it’s brands that you love?
Kaine: We love all brands. We dress how we want to, we ain’t trying to keep up with nobody. We’re trying to keep up with what we’re into.

D-Roc: I like Adidas, I like J’s, I like Coach shoes. They’re not only for women!

Kaine: If you’re asking about the brands of clothes in our closet, we got Gucci, the Louis, the Prada. But this is actually a whole Levi’s outfit. It ain’t really all about that.

D-Roc: And this is a Wal-Mart shirt.

Kaine: Attention Wal-Mart shoppers! You got to learn to be frugal. You can’t just spend your whole life like, “I’m gonna ball out! ” How many times you ball out? You’ll end up ballin’ out ‘til you fall out.

D-Roc: I go to Wal-Mart and ball out!

Kaine: Attention Wal-Mart shoppers!

So that’s just your advice; just be frugal and don’t ball out that much?
Kaine: People have to do what pertains to them. I hope you’re not asking me to tell a person that isn’t in the lane we’re in, what to do. You know I was broke as fuck too.

D-Roc: You know, I like Polo!

Kaine: and BUFU!

D-Roc: I don’t do Tommy Hilfiger, but you know.

Kaine: My man down the street, he got that Tommy real, nigga. We pretty much rock whatever.

D-Roc: If it look good to me, I get it. I might walk into Wal-Mart and see a shirt that says, “Respect my Swag,” I’m gonna get it. It might have a ninja turtle on it.
