Manchester United Remembers Legacy of Eric Cantona With New Nike Home Uniforms

Flip the collar on the shirt, Red Devil.

Manchester United has no shortage of heritage. Each distinctive era of the club has a hero. And each hero his own legend. For 2013/2014, the club and technical partner Nike look to the classic black collar worn famously (and flipped up) by the brilliant Eric Cantona in the 1990s.

The Red Devil's new home kit draws from the city's stylish past with a tailored look and three-button placket. A classic red body is accented by the a tonal grey and black gingham check, introduced on last season's home shirt and representative of Manchester's history in textile production, under the collar. Two side vents at the hem of the collar find this same gingham.

The new home shorts are white with aback stripe on the hem. An ode to the traditional United bar scarf appears on the socks.
