The annual Baselworld trade show in Switzerland features an international gathering of the world's top watch and jewelry makers. This year, La Montre Hermès marks their attendance by establishing their space in a two-story pavilion designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito. The construction has a steel framework and displays a see-through facade of wooden lattice, glass, and metal, and also includes 167 plants arranged to encircle the interior. Light is able to enter at all angles to illuminate the areas inside the pavilion displaying time pieces by Hermès that promote similar values in applying new ideas to careful construction.
