Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are the two men behind one of New York's and menswear's rising brands, Public School. This past New York Fashion Week, the duo dropped one of the most impressive collections that we saw.

But what makes Chow and Osborne such a successful design tandem? The designers gave an intimate insight into their past and future in the garment industry.

"We’re both untrained in the classic sense and cut our teeth on the job," Chow says. "We spent most of our career together at the menswear label Sean John. But more importantly I think we relate to fashion the way we relate to our existence in NYC," he shares.

Also, the designers have been nominated for the CFDA's Swarovski award for Menswear. And what do they think of this accomplishment? "Dreamlike…please don’t wake us yet," asks Osborne.
