Spanish artist Jaume Plensa has created Wonderland, a wire mesh sculpture of a young girl's head in Calgary, Canada. Located at the base of The Bow, the city's tallest tower, the structure has two openings that allow for visitors to walk through the model. While the shape of the sculpture was inspired by a real girl in Spain, the artist says, "My vision for Wonderland is to inspire everyone who experiences the sculpture: I believe the architecture of our bodies is the palace for our dreams." A second public art piece by Plensa will be put on display in downtown Calgary, titled Alberta's Dream featuring a self-portrait of the artist hugging a tree.
