Instead of thinking of the Michaelangelo or the Cistine Chapel as iconic, celebrities have captured the world's attention. In his own self initiated project called Iconic, illustrator Alexis Marcouexplores the meaning of the term. His new portraits celebrate the way we fawn over stars. The series contains monochromatic graphite renderings of celebrities such as Rihanna, Lady GaGa, Mick Jagger, and Steven Tyler. Marcou captures the captivating essence of performers.
