Bristol-based visual artist Joanie Lemercier took a beloved form of artistic experimentation, origami, and turned it into a 3D masterpiece using ever-so-trendy projection mapping. Lemercier made this piece for a gallery in Birmingham by folding paper into pyramids and projecting light onto it, creating an atmospheric, diamond-like appearance. Both up close and from afar, the piece shows that simplicity can often be the answer to pulling off mixed mediums.
