Miami is that one American city that is a baller's destination, but often gets viewed a vacation destination rather than a sustainable, livable city. The city's design district hopes to change that image. While the area is already home to retail shops for Prada, Hermès, Céline, and Louis Vuitton, you can expect future residents such as Tom Ford, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Zegna to join the neighborhood.

$312 million was donated by Darca to renovate the area and build a more fun, young, and vibrant shopping experience that isn't similar to malls, but distinctively Miami. The finished creation will be a four-block long shopping area that is lined with palm trees, and features strictly high-end shops. We expect a few celebrities, rappers, and ball-players to blow more than a few stacks when the construction is said and done. Expect the project to be finished within the next year or two.
