Filmmaker Nick Abrahams was nominated recently for the British Council award for Best Short Film of the Year with his film Ekki Mukk. The work stars Aidan Gillen of Game of Thrones fame along with voice overs from legendary folk singer Shirley Collins. Gillen plays a lost traveler who encounters a snail voiced by Collins that will help him find his way. It is also the newest film in Sigur Rós’s Valtari Mystery Film Experiment in which the band allowed a select group of directors freedom to make a film for songs off of their latest album. Abrahams' work will be screening at the Institute for Contemporary Arts in London this month.
