Some people simply do not like certain colors of Skittles. Fortunately, there is now a machine created by engineer Brian Egenriether that will separate candy like Skittles, M&Ms, and Reese's Pieces by color. Simply insert the treats at the top of the machine and the candy will be perfectly separated into different containers. The color detection is performed by a CCD sensor, a similar sensor that digital cameras use to detect color. Automating the separation of sweets is fantatic in our book.
