More Web-Only Retailers Are Opening Brick-and-Mortar Locations

Nothing beats face-to-face interaction.

None

While many long-established brick-and-mortar stores are struggling to convert to the web and keep up with online retailers' rising sales, online retailers are building backwards and trying to open up brick-and-mortar locations. Shops like Bonobos, Piperlime, and Warby Parker—which were strictly online only—are opening up or planning to open physical retail locations. The advancement of apps and use of shopping sites has made it convenient for everyone to shop at home or on mobile, but according to Forrester Research, “well over 90 percent of sales still happen in physical stores.” Nothing beats the in-store experience where you can touch and try on the clothes, and online stores are moving to accommodate their customers' needs. Online or in-store, which do you prefer?
