Amid the horrors of SantaCon, another celebration of fictional characters raged in New York City this past weekend—Hello Kitty, Hello Art! The pop-up exhibition, mounted to promote a new Roger Gastman-compiled bookof the same name, featured street and low-brow art takes on Sanrio's famous characters from the likes of DABS MYLA, Tara McPherson, Tristan Eaton, Adam Wallacavage, Linas Garsys, Miguel Parades, Tim Conlon, and AIKO.
The unique pieces honor the Hello Kitty legacy, and further the fame through amusing new conceptions of the idea.
