The average cost of a land mine removal is around $1,200. That's hella expensive once you think about how many military sweeps occur in a year. Afghan designer Massoud Hassani recently devised a way to bring this cost down to around $51. In the video located below, you'll discover how Hassani was able to create a low-cost wind-powered land mine detonator inspired by a simple children's toy.
