Architecture firm Snohetta won a competition to design the Busan Opera House in South Korea, and we're so glad they did. Their concept has subtly contrasting curves, meant to resemble a musical instrument, with angled cherry wood sections that can be adjusted to enhance acoustics per event. The overall design is based on the Korean philosophy of Kun (Heaven) meeting Kon (Earth) meeting Kam (water). It will be completed some time in 2018.
