The BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Artisan Series, started three years ago by brothers Russell and Danny Simmons, is a competition that provides invaluable exposure for young painters, photographers, and mixed media artists. Since May 21, 2012, the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Artisan Series has accepted submissions from 3400 talented young artists, and the time has now come for you to pick the best of the best.
Your online votes, as well as the results of a series of gallery shows around the country, will determine the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Artisan Series finalists who will compete for the two grand prizes at Art Basel Miami this December. The two winners will have a show at the Rush Arts Gallery and Resource Center in New York City, home gallery of the Simmons brothers' Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, in February 2013.
