The Woolworth building has earned many titles over its 99 year lifespan: world's tallest building, the "cathedral of commerce," New York icon, and now it will add one more — home. In a $68 million deal, which closed last week, the top floors of the neo-gothic skyscraper were sold to a developer who plans to create 40 luxury condos in the space, complete with a penthouse that occupies the copper cupola.
