The talented and always surprising Austin-based designer, DJ Stout, has brought his fun touch to hydroponics brand, Advanced Nutrients. Illustrator Marc Buckhardt was brought on board, because Stout wanted to create brand mascots for the various product lines, citing “old-school grocery store” packaging as his inspiration. The end product becomes something lively and personalized for the company, as each line has its own personality like Big Bud, Tilla Gorilla, or Rhonnie the Rhino. [Pentagram]
