LSTN Headphones Uses Their Profits To Help The Hearing-Impaired

A great product with an even greater cause.

For every pair purchased, LSTN Headphones gives hearing to a child in need. Based on the statistics that the production of hearing aids only meets 10% of global need, 80% of the hearing impaired live in developing countries, and 95% of children in deaf schools can be helped with a hearing aid, the company enables consumers to charitably participate in making a difference.

LSTN has partnered with global charities, taking mobile clinics to small villages and custom fitting hearing aids for children in deaf schools and treat them on the spot.

Here's what they have to say about their wooden design and environmental consciousness:

"Why are guitars, piano keys, violins etc made out of wood — but headphones aren't? Music loves wood. Our unique wooden chambers are a huge contributor to the warm and natural sound of LSTN headphones — they produce much better resonance than plastic or metal.

LSTN is also environmentally friendly — we aren't out chopping down trees to create our products. The wood we use for our headphones is up-cycled - we reclaim exotic leftover scrap woods from furniture makers that would have been thrown in a landfill. All of the wood is legally harvested through licenses with local government."
