Svensson is a Swedish collective making some of the cleanest product we've ever seen, which is to be expected from a design culture known for its minimalism. If their Italian made kicks look familiar it's because they are—they're made in the same factory that both Common Projects and Maison Martin Margiela use for their sneaker production. Since nothing is new anyway (almost all of these high-end sneakers are based on vintage European army trainers) we don't particularly care who is doing it, but who is doing it best. Svensson takes the key vintage elements we're used to seeing everywhere, upgrades the soles and does away with any external branding. The result? The best doing it just got bested.
