A joint effort between The Coop-Hewitt and The Walker Art Center, Graphic Design: Now in Production explores various areas of current Graphic Design. The exhibition was initially on view at The Walker Art Center and now has made its way to New York City’s Governor’s Island. The show includes editorial design, books, posters, Identity, type design and motion graphics. If you can’t make the ferry ride, you can grab the catalogue for $40 online. With hundreds of full-color examples of graphic design, and numerous essays written by designers like Rob Giampetro, Ian Albinson, Andrew Blauvelt, Steve Heller and curator, Ellen Lupton, it’s definitely worth the price tag. Open through September 30th, 2012 on weekend's from 10am-6pm. And, best of all, FREE!
