Originally commissioned as a museum, this new structure in Manzanares decidedly became a police station 80% of the way through the project. Strong volumes of geometric solids close off the building from the surrounding area, while a small courtyard and spaces between the buildings allow for glimpses of sky. Additionally, strategically placed skylights and ventilation windows allow for natural light and air to circulate through the building, while still preserving the clean, white facade. [Archdaily]
