Here's A Sneak Peek At The Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Collection

In the course of a day, the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection has gone from a rumor to a full-blown confirmation. Today we stumbled across this video, which has been uploaded to both H&M's YouTube channel as well as Maison Martin Margiela's. Remiscent of the quirky videos released prior to the launch of the Lanvin collaboration, it appears these videos combine elements from both brands to give us a look at the concepts behind the pieces.

True to the Margiela team's design aesthetic, the videos combine the numbers — normally used to differentiate between the label's collections, and use them as a countdown to when the vid begins. For men, we get a look at outerwear: a topcoat purportedly made from the "fusion of several car coats." The result? This hybrid:

Details like asymmetrical pockets (one's a flap pocket and one's a slash pocket), a hidden placket, and a club collar definitely have us wondering what else is in store for this collaboration.

For the ladies, there's a video of a darted sweater being sketched out. Here's a look at the finished concept:

It appears details like elongated ribbing at the cuffs and hem will exaggerate this slouchy turtleneck. Chances are we'll know more as the release date of November 15 nears.
