Giuseppe Zanotti Launches First Men’s Collection at Pitti, Four Pins Initiates The Editor's Note

When one of the world’s premier luxury shoe designers announces their first full men’s collection you should probably stop whatever it is you’re doing and take notice. [Editor's note: debatable] Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti has come a long way since his days of freelancing for fashion juggernauts like Valentino and Missoni, so much that in the twelve years since his first boutique opened he’s built a tremendous reputation that rivals that of Christian Louboutin. [Editor's note: That certain fellow who gets your girlfriend more revved up than the thought of you finally picking up the check] The fact that Kanye West personally selected Zanotti to co-design a pair of $6,000 shoes for his first ever runway show pretty much solidifies his position as one of the king’s of luxury footwear. [Editor's note: Botch The Throne] Zanotti will launch his new men’s collection next week in Florence, Italy at Pitti Uomo 82, the menswear tradeshow. [Editor's note: The tradeshow that everyone talks about on the Internet, but is still, actually, really important.] What’s interesting is that aside from sneakers and sandals, he’ll also be presenting a line of limited-edition rhinestone encrusted slippers that are oddly enough, “inspired by the world of superheroes.” [Editor's note: Avenge my eyeballs, bro.] Perhaps Lawrence, our EIC, can see what that’s all about since he’ll be in attendance next week. [Editor's note: Sorry Daniel, that's that shit I don't like.]
