Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. France's national police busted a counterfeiting ring, arresting 12 people and recovering $22.7 million in fake Hermès products. According to police, the suspects were arrested in Paris and Lyon, and included two of the brand's former employees.

Police found secret warehouses stocked with leather skins, and a dozen people total have reportedly been arrested so far. The crime ring sold fake Hermès bags throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States.

The arrests come about two weeks after France launched an anti-counterfeiting ad campaign. [WWD]
