This recent photo series from Paris-based French and German artists Lucie & Simon visualizes what it would be like if cities like New York and Beijing were completely abandoned, end of the world apocalypse style. "Silent World" was shot throughout major cities around the globe, and features empty urban landscapes from some of the most bustling and populated metropolises in modern civilization. Shot using extra-long exposures to limit light entry, Lucie & Simon were able to capture the end of the world without the harmful extermination process.
