Unless a man is a figure skater, thespian, or Robin Hood, he's probably never dabbled in hosiery. It's an unwritten man law that guys simply don't wear tights, whether labeled unisex or not. However, legwear brand Emilio Cavallini has a dedicated male following for its online pantyhose boutique.

The vice-president of the Italian company, Francesco Cavallini, says that men account for 2 to 3 percent of the unisex tight sales on his site—meaning a decent amount of dudes are walking around wearing "mantyhose." Go ahead and shudder. He also says the tights are, "most popular with customers from Germany, France, Scandinavia, Canada and the U.S.” While some men are parading around in these flamboyantly designed tights with all-over prints including checkerboard, skulls, and stars, others may be using them for practical purposes. Cavallini explains that during the winter months, some men wear tights under pants to keep warm, and others wear them under running shorts for the same reason. Whatever the motive, mantyhose are a strange fashion choice for any setting. If you're one of the few who are interested, cop a pair for $27 at Cavallini's online boutique. [WWD]
