As petty as it may seem, trademark infringement is no joke when it comes to luxury brands. Take Louis Vuitton for example. This past winter, the brand filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros for using fake LV luggage in The Hangover 2. In the most recent luxury goods case, Dolce & Gabbana is suing Mijou Beller, owner of a small boutique in Cape Town, South Africa called Dolce and Banana, for trademark dilution and mocking "the well-known trademark Dolce & Gabbana." Dolce and Banana seems like a rather clever name if you ask us. However, Beller seems to have changed the name of her shop since the incident. Dolce and Banana now goes by "... & Banana." What exactly is implied there? [Racked]
