Open Walls Baltimore Kicks Off

Street art to sooth an ailing neighborhood.

We're big fans of mural projects. From Mr. Powers in Philly to Pow Wow in Hawaii, we've seen how art in the streets impacts communities. The latest large scale project has launched in Baltimore (in a neighborhood saddled with 150 vacant homes). Organized in part by the artist Gaia, Open Walls Baltimore is funded by the PNC Foundation and through a generous Our Town grant from the National Endownment For the Arts.

Interesni Kazki, Maya Hayuk, Swoon, Specter, Doodles, Jaz, Ever, Freddy Sam, Mata Ruda, Nanook, MOMO, Vhils, Sten and Lex, Chris Stain, Jetsonorama, and Overunder are involved.
