Trade show season is in full effect and (capsule) New York is one of our favorite shows to attend. We got a glimpse of what the brands are cooking up for next fall, and we thought we'd give you sneak peek of the 10 Coolest Things We Saw at (capsule) New York. You're probably already familiar with Schott Perfecto and Norse Projects, but we also want to introduce you to a few names that aren't on your radar yet. We selected 10 brands, and took a few flicks of the items we're most excited about. Click on to see what we can't wait to cop for next Fall/Winter.

ANACHRONORM

SINCE: 2004

FOUNDER: Tomoki Tanushi

WHY WE CO-SIGN: One of the best brands to come out of Japan, ANACHRONORM is now doing a few select orders to top tier American retailers. You can always stop by Union L.A. for a great selection from this brand.

WHY WE CO-SIGN: Don't sleep on this apparel brand catered to children. Peep its denim-style jacket that resembles a waxed cotton with wool lining.

WHY WE CO-SIGN: As the UK brand continues to produce quality 60/40 parkas, this season holds off on searching for deadstock vintage apparel and focuses on technical outerwear pieces. Be on the lookout for its new collection of eyewear in the fall.

WHY WE CO-SIGN: Another Japanese brand making waves in the U.S. is Journal Standard. Making all of the necessities for a great wardrobe in great cuts, and some really unique fabrics.

WHY WE CO-SIGN: Monitaly is a street-style staple, and for Fall/Winter '12, the brand comes back strong with wool knit items in snowflake print, and a sick pair of python desert boots.

WHY WE CO-SIGN: Making some of the best knits, beanies, and 5-panel hats on the market, Norse created a tonal floral pattern, which is a nice play, and needed departure from all of the camo we saw at those other brands.

WHY WE CO-SIGN: There's a reason why everyone wants to do a collabo with Yoshida & Co's Porter. Known for its high-quality nylon accessories focusing mainly on durability and functionality for daily use, Porter is the coolest Japanese bag maker around. This season, the brand designed a packable backpack that collapses into a small tote bag.
