With influences ranging from Freddy Mercury to Kanye, Miguel’s music is at once both a breath of fresh air and the work of an old soul. Seamlessly blending hip-hop attitude with an R&B vibe, it's no wonder Miguel had his first record deal at 18, was working with Usher not long thereafter, and was named Best New Artist at the 2011 Soul Train Awards. We’re keeping an eye on this LA native for a couple reasons, not the least of which being his obvious gift with the slow jam—the kid has already recorded a few candlelight classics.

Miguel’s second album is being overseen by hip-hop impresarios Mark Pitts and Wayne Barrow, both of whom were crucial to the rise of one of Miguel’s own icons, the Notorious B.I.G. To learn more about Miguel, check out Grey Goose on Facebook.
