It's officially been confirmed that artist Yayoi Kusama will be working on a collaboration with fashion house Louis Vuitton. This was recently confirmed by LV Creative Director Marc Jacobs.
The 82-year-old Kusama is known for her obsession with polka dots, which she has applied to a variety of mediums. She currently has a major retrospective at Paris' Centre Pompidou which will then head to London's Tate Modern and New York's Whitney Museum.
This isn't the first time Marc Jacobs has worked with big-name artists. His oeuvre includes projects with the likes of Stephen Sprouse, Richard Prince, and more famously, Takashi Murakami, whose 2002 collaboration debut proved highly lucrative for the fashion house. [WWD]
