It is never too late to make your New York debut. Just ask Jeff Keen.

Born in 1923, Keen opens his first solo exhibition in the United States tonight at Elizabeth Dee Gallery. Influenced by American Pop, comic books, and later, punk, Keen embraces technology in both painting and film. His work respond to the proliferation of media and the commodification of the 1960s, and can be viewed as a sort of social portraiture.

Keen's paintings and film will be on view through February 11, 2012.
