Designer Inghua Ting, who was educated at the Royal College of Art, reworks discarded men's belts into distinctive square floor tiles. Now based in London, Ting's interest in sustainability was the impetus for the project, which strips belts of their metal and hand cleans the leather with chemical free substances before re-imagining the material as 12 or 18 inch squares. The results are unique and are suitable for floors, table tops, and walls. [Core 77]
