Whenever Steve Jobs approaches something as his “personal project,” there’s no doubt the end result will be anything less than obsessively perfect. After a chat with Steve Jobs, Peter Bohlin sketched out the design on the spot. In 2011, a $6.6 million dolllar renovation stripped the cube down to its bare essentials, using less glass panels on the exterior for a more seamless look. The seemingly magical glass box of Apple products is open 24 hours a day, drawing so many tourists it has since surpassed the Statue of Liberty as popular New York City landmark. Can’t go to the Big Apple without paying homage to Apple, it seems.
