Banksy recently unveiled Cardinal Sin, a pixelated sculpture commenting on issues within the Catholic Church, at Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery. A follow-up sculpture (this, after all, is not an artist to strike once, and quietly), Fallen Soldier, also plays on traditional artistic forms. Here, Banksy also plays on museum culture with the inclusion of a "slippery when wet sign." Crumbling traditions, one may suppose, is the overarching theme of the current indoor work.
