The streets of Congo are flooded with automatic weapons held by children. A horrifying sight which Peter Thum (Ethos Water creator) and John Zapolski are trying to alleviate. The duo has started Fonderie 47, "a company aimed at reducing Africa's estimated 20 million assault weapons by turning the metal into jewelry." Fonderie 47 also uses funds from sales of the jewelry to finance the demolition of 75 more guns. Even cooler, each ring is engraved with the serial number of the weapon it used to be.
