Stop Looking At Walls, Look Out the Window, opened on September 30, 2011, and showcases new work by the up-and-coming Jim McElvaney. His fractured portraits are haunting explorations of the human form. There's a spirit of spontaneity about the paintings, each suggestive of a string of influences — ranging from illustration to abstract urban art. The works are about complexity, as much in the human psyche as in the process.
The exhibition runs through October 23, 2011.
