Devised by GMP Architekten, the Universiade 2011 Sports Centre is currently hosting the World University Games. The complex is comprised of three stadiums that surround an artificial lake in Shenzhen, China. Included is the event's main stadium, seating 60,000, along with aquatic and basketball arenas. All share the same faceted glass facades which illuminate at night and connect to the undulating local landscape. [Dezeen]
