ARI "Menthol 10s"

2006

The best sneaker art project of all-time? Yes, probably.

ARI, a partner with ESPO on "On the Go" magazine, created the shoe to mark the 10 year anniversary of moving from Philly to New York. It's a satirical package, commenting on the ubiquity of the AF1 and the Newport cigarette box in the urban environment and the corporations that take without ever giving back.

The story was reinforced by a tremendous package design - an oversized menthol box complete with silver paper.

(And, yes we remember ESPO's super AF2s, the second best sneaker art project of all-time).
