Beekman Tower Hotel
Architect: John Mead Howells
Midtown East
Built in 1928, this hotel’s art deco construction reaches new heights (literally) at the roof, with a glassed-in patio wrapping around the building’s square floor plan. The tower of the Beekman Tower Hotel is easily visible amidst a skyline full of metal skyscrapers, with its narrow piers shooting up from a two-story base and forming a fortress-like crown.
