The World Cup is just two months away, which means that all the big boys (e.g. Nike, adidas, Umbro, and Puma) are releasing new national-team kits. Having seen the bulk of them, it's pretty clear that skintight is the new slim-fit. Similar to Nike's "System of Dress" uniforms in college hoops, the new nip-hugging soccer jerseys (like the adidas TechFit series) are designed to improve aerodynamics, posture, and dryness. That's all well and good if you're Cristiano Ronaldo or Didier Drogba, but not so good if you wanna rep as a fan and you're a few brews short of a six-pack.
