The NBA is an institution. Though its games are as fresh, athletic, and exciting as ever, the league has actually been around for 75 years. To celebrate that longevity, sports fans are encouraged to swing by the NBA booth during this weekend’s ComplexCon (November 6-7) in Long Beach, California.
As attendees enter the stylized retro boutique, they’ll be able to purchase vintage jerseys and gear, along with a 2021-22 Nike City Edition jersey display. Sports lovers will also get to preview The NBA Lane film and listen to both the Nike NBA Diamond Album, and NBA 75th Anniversary Team Player Mixtapes. The whole booth is made to echo the opening shots of NBA Lane, which stars Michael B. Jordan driving the HoopsBus through a fantasy neighborhood inhabited by NBA superstars past and present.
Swing by to catch the flick, take your photo with the City Edition jerseys and the NBA Lane street sign, then head outside to see the HoopsBus for yourself. At the HoopsBus, you can participate in skills challenges to win “bus tickets” that can be redeemed for NBA x ComplexCon T-shirts back at the booth. Or, you can hit the HoopsBus to enter to win custom NBA x ComplexCon merch drops throughout the weekend.
On Sunday, the HoopsBus will also host a live DJ before it departs to take a select group of Nike influencers outfitted in City Edition jerseys from ComplexCon to the Clippers vs. Hornets game at Staples Center. For a lucky few who stay, the NBA will host a branded VIP section during A$AP Rocky’s performance Sunday night.
Now that’s how you celebrate 75 years in just two days.
