Clippers Video Assistant Assane Dramè Mourned by Team Players and Others After Dying in Car Crash at Age 26

Los Angeles Clippers video assistant Assane Dramè died in a car accident on Monday night. He was only 26 years old and came on board as a video intern in 2019.

Los Angeles Clippers video assistant Assane Dramè died in a car crash on Monday night at the age of 26.

According to TMZ, he came on board as a video intern in 2019 and moved up the ranks to video assistant with the team’s digital media group. Prior to the accident, Dramè attended the team’s media day.

The fatal incident happened on the 10 Freeway in L.A. Assane pulled over onto the road’s shoulder when another vehicle collided with his car. His family initially reported him as missing after Clippers HR told them he hadn’t come to work. 

“The Clippers organization mourns the loss of Assane Dramè, a dedicated employee, a talented videographer, and a loyal friend,” the team said in a statement. “He was a hard worker and a gentle soul, passionate about his craft and kind to his colleagues, earning the respect and admiration of players, coaches and staff.”

A New Jersey native, Dramè graduated from Rowan University in 2017 with a degree in radio, television, and film. He moved to L.A. in 2019, where he got his intern gig with the franchise. He’s survived by his family in Jersey.
