Wanxiang To Restart Fisker Karma Production This Year
And the Corvette-engined VL Destino is going to production with it.

Wanxiang, the Chinese company that bought the dessicated remains of Fisker Automotive, is planning to restart Fisker Karma production within the year. Yes more interesting is the fact that the company also plans to start making Bob Lutz's VL Destino, complete with the 6.2L supercharged GM V8.
Pin Ni, the head of Wanxiang's US division, responded when asked how many Karmas he thought the company could sell, “Obviously we want to sell more than what Fisker sold before under its previous management. We would like to restart Karma production within a year."
While the initially targeted market would be North America, Pin did say “China is a huge market we cannot ignore. So, down the road we are going to look into the China market for sure. China is a 22 million unit a year market. All we need is to make just a very very small splash."
It will be interesting to see if this works, and if the Karma can compete with the faster, more efficient, better supported BMW i8.
