It’s been a few years since DeMar DeRozan was a Toronto Raptor but the way in which his time with the team ended still haunts him to this day.

In the latest episode of Podcast P with Paul George, the famed Raptors player and current Chicago Bull shared the story of his final game on the team back in 2018 when they got swept by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs.

“We was down 3-0,” DeRozan said, “Obviously we lost Game 4, but I just remember–cause I was out the game–him shooting that one-legged floater and it going in and I was like ‘shit, this is it here.’ That one haunts me for sure.”

After landing with the Chicago Bulls two seasons ago, DeRozan’s time in Toronto came full circle. In this season’s Play-In tournament, DeRozan’s daughter yelled every time a Raptor went up to the free throw line and it may have cost them their season.

Unfortunately for DeRozan, the Bulls were then eliminated from NBA playoff contention by the Miami Heat.
