Joe Burrow

As expected, Joe Burrow absolutely dominated the 2019 Peach Bowl.

The LSU quarterback completed 21 of 27 pass attempts for 403 yards and seven touchdowns in the first half of Saturday's game against the Oklahoma Sooners. It was not only an impressive performance, it was also historic, as Burrow set the record for the most TD passes in a College Football Playoff game, the most TD passes in a Peach Bowl, and the most TD passes in a single game for LSU. Tigers wide receiver Justin Jefferson caught four the scoring passes, which also set a new CFP record for the most scoring catches in a game.

But the 2019 Heisman winner wasn't done. In the third quarter, Burrow threw TD No. 8, breaking the FBS record for TD passes in a bowl game.

Joe Burrow just played the greatest half of college 🏈 in the 150 yr history of college 🏈. 21-27 403 7 Tds. Oh yeah, it’s against an upper echelon power 5 school (OU) in the College Football Playoff. pic.twitter.com/3gfO1rO0FC

Following his Heisman win, Burrow became the favorite to be selected first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, which would secure his spot with the Cincinnati Bengals.

When you know Joe Burrow should sit, but really want to see how many touchdowns he can throw in this game ... pic.twitter.com/fSJMW3SbvR

I’m beginning to think the 2019 version of Joe Burrow is the best college QB we’ve ever seen.

80 percent complete percentage, 55 TDs, 5,200 yards in 13.5 games and he’s about to beat a top 10 team for the sixth time.

Joe Burrow has proved his NFL potential with this game. If the Bengals don’t draft him, I’m burning all my jerseys.

Also, Jalen Hurts is better than his entire team. I feel for him.#LSUvsOU

On the one hand, there's no need for Joe Burrow to play in the second half
On the other hand, LET JOE BURROW THROW FOR 15 TOUCHDOWNS

#LSU QB Joe Burrow had more TD passes (7) than incompletions (6) in the first half vs. Oklahoma.

Maaaan not only does Burrow need to sit down. He needs to just gone head and shower up and come out the 2nd half with his street clothes on, go home in the third quarter and watch the 4th quarter on the ESPN app.

7 Touchdowns!!! Goodness Gracious!! pic.twitter.com/Xtp9Lt11nl

I have no idea how good a pro Joe Burrow will be. But in all the years I have been watching college football, I have never seen anyone have a better year than he has had. #LSU #CFBPlayoff
